Angell was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina and moved to Columbia, South Carolina at the age of 2. Angell was a model and local commercial actress prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1994 to film the TV pilot "On Our Our" which also starred Salt & Pepa. Since that time she has been a series regular on CBS "Dave's World" and has guest starred on other television show.
